DUAL BOOT UBUNTU

Step 1)  Download Ubuntu Desktop , here choose your flavour 64-bit or 32-bit.

And click download button.

Step 2) Now download Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3

Step 3) Open  Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3, which you have download.

 

a)  click 'yes'

b)  'I agree'

c) select 'Ubuntu'

d) click 'Browse' button and choose ubuntu14.04.iso file.

e) select your USB Flash Drive Letter Only

note : make sure you have connected a usb flash drive in your computer.

f)  click 'create'  button

e) On popup windows click ' yes'

g) “close”

when whole proccess is complete then your usb drive completely burn.

                                     

                                      In Windows7,8,8.1 OS

                             Create unallocated part.

·       Disk management

▪    right click on C drive

·       click shrink volume

◦    shrink 80GB (it is unallocated)

Note : you can choose also 20GB or its above.

                             Restart your System

Step 4) Boot your computer

choose usb Storage device

 

step 5) wait sometime

click Install Ubuntu

Step 6) click on 'Continue'

Step 7) Installation Type-

choose 'something else' option

and  click continue

Step 8) click on ''free space'' disk

      click '+' button

create partion: a) swap area:- Swap area always take greater than your RAM memory

ex. Suppose your RAM is 2GB then swap area take 2.5GB

if RAM 4GB then swap area take 4.5GB

Step 9) Again click '+' button

   

 choose root “/” as shown in fig. 

Note: here choose all partion in the free space

                                      OR

take root partion 30GB and then take remaining partion as “Home”

Home is help you , if your ubuntu OS is fail in future or you want re-install your Ubuntu OS then your Data will not loss.

So , I recomend you for Home partition.

Step 10) click “Install Now” button.

Step 11) Where are you

choose map :- India

Step 12)Keyboard layout – English(UK) and click “continue”

Step 13) Who are you

user name

password

fill all athe fields.

and click “continue”.

Step 14) Now installing process is start .

Wait sevral minutes and when all the procces is complete then

 a restart popup window is shown click restart.

Step 15) Now your ubuntu is install in your windows partion.
